I am Maria Stella Burgio, a PhD candidate in Asian and African Studies at Ca’ Foscari University of Venice.

My interdisciplinary research focuses on ecolinguistics, particularly on how language influences people’s attitudes toward the environment through a Systems Thinking approach.

I also explore the integration of Chinese and Western medicine from a systemic perspective.

I am an alumna of Ca’ Foscari International College. I hold a master’s degree with honours in Language and Management to China, and a bachelor’s degree with honours in Language, Culture, and Society of Asian and African Studies, both from Ca’ Foscari University of Venice.
